browser support for css1 & css2

The World Wide Web Consortium (http://www.w3.org/) has published two main css recommendations of style sheets - css1 and css2. css1 became a recommendation in 1996. css2 became a recommendation in 1998. Netscape 6.x has fairly complete support of css1 and css2, as does Opera 5.x. Internet Explorer 4.5 (Mac) and 5.x (Windows) has good support for css1, while Internet Explorer 4.5, 5 and 5.5 have limited supprt for css2. Netscape Navigator 4.x has virtually no support for css2. Internet Explorer 5 (Mac) and 5 and 6 (Windows) has quite good, but not complete, support for css2.
